1. The Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee (“KLBC”) has been made aware of an email dated 27 February 2025 which emanated from the email address “klbar.election@gmail.com”. The email was entitled “KL Bar Election 2025/2026 – Cast Your Vote!”.
2. The email was apparently received by numerous members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar.
3. The KLBC wishes to place on record as follows:-
3.1 That e-mail was not issued by the KLBC and/or the KLBC Secretariat. The KLBC has no knowledge of the sender of the said e-mail and does not endorse the contents of the same.
3.2 For the avoidance of doubt, “klbar.election@gmail.com” is not the KLBC’s official e-mail address. All official KLBC e-mails are issued from the domain e-mail address “klbarcommitee.website-design.my/”.
4. Members are reminded to refrain from using e-mail addresses and/or issuing e-mails which may be wrongly attributed to the KLBC and/or give the impression that it is an official e-mail of the KLBC. In the event that any member is aware of the dissemination of such e-mails and/or information pertaining to the issuance of the same, please bring it to KLBC’s immediate attention so that action can be taken.
