The Young Lawyers Committee (YLC) promotes and represents the interest of junior members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar. The work and activities of the Young Lawyers Committee are in the following areas:
1. Welfare and Social Justice;
2. Career Development and Progression;
3. Training and Entry to the Bar;
4. Networking Within and Beyond the Bar.
Our past events include:
A. Annual Charity Night;
B. Business development workshops for young lawyers;
C. Financial planning seminars for young lawyers;
D. Networking events with other young professionals (engineers, accountants, pharmacists and doctors);
E. Seminar on trial and advocacy skills;
F. KL Bar – Lincoln’s Inn Alumni Moot Court Competition;
G. Fund raising and visitation initiatives to charity homes for underprivileged children, elderly care and the disabled.
