Donation Drive For Kajang Prison

Dear Members of the Kuala Lumpur Bar,

 

In our efforts to help flatten the curve caused by Covid-19 and also to prevent the spread of the disease, the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee’s Criminal Law Practice Committee (“KLBC CLPC”) is launching a donation drive to purchase hygiene items for the benefit of inmates in Kajang Prison. At present, there are some 5593 inmates in the prison for men and 1468 inmates in the prison for women at Kajang. The essential items identified for this purpose are as follows:-

• Face masks
• Hand sanitisers
• Infrared Thermometer
• Hand gloves
• Dettol Antiseptic Liquid
• Floor Cleaner
• Anti-Bacterial Soap Bars

We call for the support of our members to contribute to this donation drive. This donation drive will run from 1 April 2020 until 30 April 2020.

Please note, the CLPC will be responsible for purchasing all items needed by the inmates upon conclusion of the campaign and we will deliver the items directly to Kajang Prison.
